Dear Student.

I am pleased that you have come to our country, to me and to my family. My

name is Andres Felipe Parra and I will be accompanying him throughout his
career, I will try to give him all my knowledge so that his learning will be of
pleasant wisdom. My mother is Claudia Yinet Guerrero and my father is Oscar
Javier Parra, and it gives us good taste to know of his presence in this
wonderful place.

If you know, I will come to Colombia for your career and I am pleased to
inform you beforehand about this beautiful country. First of all I would like to
ask you about why you wanted to join our program, it is to recognize your
merits and interests to make a pleasant effort in this place.

It is impossible to describe with words the natural beauties and wonders that
this beautiful country possesses, part of its territory is part of the lung of the
world: The Amazon; in addition colombia presents three mountain ranges that
allow the great variety of climates, Therefore it has a wide variety of
ecosystems that make Colombia one of the countries with the highest
biodiversity in Fauna and Flora, standing out birds, amphibians and reptiles.

In its culture, Colombia is very different from each city, in bogota the climate is
cold while in medellin or in barranquilla is more calido. Colombia has two main
cities, its capital: Bogotá and its secondary city: Medelllin. Bogota is full of very
humble and funny people, it is rare to see bad behavior in this city. Colombia is
a very colorful country and stands out for its coffee, which is 100% grown by
our farmers. The climate varies depending on the city, in the Caribbean the
climate is warm while in the Andean region, the climate is colder. You can visit
places like the monserrate hill and guadeloupe.
In Barranquilla is celebrated the most important carnival of the country and
stands out for its great diversity of cultures and music, everything is with a
good taste of the Colombian Pacific, they will treat you very well.
The transport in medellin is very good, it has an elevated metro, a metro in rail
and a metrocable, compared to bogota that its transport has buses called
transmilenio, but they are not very advisable because of their insecurity.
