Richard Tiles Marketing

The purpose of this business is to make the locals of Malalag, Davao del Sur and the neighbouring
municipality do not go to the city to buy tiles for their houses. The total amount of capital needed is
₱100,000.

The Business

Richard Tiles Marketing has chosen to be the business since there is no tile marketing business like this in
have been putted in Malalag. Altthough this business is risky in bankruptcy, risk management and
insurance protection will be established to overcome this risk.

Richard Tiles Marketing will be an independent, start-up venture. The proposed starting date for the
venture will be 04/06/2020. This will be located at Poblacion, Malalag, Davao del Sur Public Market. The
rent is ₱1,000 a month, with a five-year lease available. The area of the site is a 20 X 20 square-foot store
and a 10 X 20 storage room at the back.

Richard Tiles Marketing will sell all kinds and sizes of tiles and opens from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday
to Sunday. Three staffs will be needed and they will be all-around workers in the store. And the tiles will
be sell in the store will be bought at Davao city.

Nowadays, most of the houses in Malalag that are being built are concrete and some people tend to put
tiles in their floorings, it is good to put up tiles business here in Malalag for them not to go to city to buy
tiles. All of the tiles sizes and kinds will be sold in the store and the prices has small gap with the cities
tiles prize.

Objectives, Goals, and Strategies

The Richard Tiles Marketing is located at the Poblacion, Malalag Public Market and it is easy to find
where it is, people will not be stress in finding the store. People will save time in buying tiles because it is
time-consuming for them if they will buy in the city rather than here in Malalag.
Target Market
Local Residents – Most locals of Malalag had already concreted their houses and tend to put tiles in it for
finishing.

Neighbouring Municipalities’ Residents – Most people nowadays had already concreted their houses
and most of them tend and planned to finish their houses by putting tiles on it.

Competitive Analysis
There is no other store in the town selling tiles, the only competitors of the store is in the city and it is far
for the locals to buy there.

Marketing Actions
Local Residents – Tarpaulins will be posted in every baranggay of Malalag, this will inform the locals
that the store is selling all tiles. We will give a 5% discount to the first 5 customers.

Neighbouring Municipalities’ Residents – We created a FB page

post an advertisement of our store in order for them to see our store and convince them to buy. We will
give a 5% discount to the first 5 customers.

Budget
The budget is from the savings of the owner. We hired a CPA to monitor the money of the store in order
to apply direct actions quickly if there will be a problem in the sales. The supplier of tiles that will be sell
in the store is the Citi Hardware in the city.
