Symphony Guild Board Meeting Minutes

In attendance: Barbara Burgeson, Sheryl Fitzgerald, Mary Halverstadt, Susan Hanson, Sharon
Lovell, Lynne O’Connell, Sandy Peterson, Mica Quint, Kathy Selover.

Following a delicious brunch, the meeting commenced at 10:30 a.m.

Minutes: Sandy briefly reviewed the meeting minutes from the March 17, 2020 meeting.

Treasurer’s Report: Lynne provided budget spreadsheets as follows:

Ongoing Figures 2019-2020
Draft Budget 2020-2021
5 Year Historical Budget (2015-2020)
The Board discussed potential events and developed estimated income and expenses for each.
Lynne also reported an income of $3,400 from the flower basket fundraiser. Bookcliffs was very
generous and helpful and have offered to repeat this fundraiser at some point in the future.

Membership Update: Membership dues have been received from all but 20 people. Those
members will be called individually to be reminded of the dues. Ann Murphy will not be
renewing her membership. Membership currently stands at 70 members. Mica will provide
updated membership information to Pam Turell.

Events:
1. Brats: A decision will not be made until July. Kelly will be in contact with the city to see
if the concert can be held and what the health parameters will be. The Guild will have a
presence if the event takes place, and Guild board has decided to sell only chips and a
drink at the event. Kathy Selover’s committee will formulate a plan for this event.
2. Orchestra Lunch: The lunch is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th at Toni Heiden’s
office. Susan will co-chair this event and needs a co-chair to take place.
3. Lunch Bunch will resume. Sheryl will contact Cathy Zippert to commence the lunches.

Future Meeting:
July 13th General membership meeting. The meeting will be held at Lynne’s house in the
backyard.
