 The cabin design is fully configurable for seating and cargo, allowing the craft to fulfil a wide variety of roles.
 Detachable side decks enable the craft to be reduced in width for transportation by road, in a standard 40ft
shipping container, on a flat bed truck or in a C130 transport aircraft.
From the Arctic Circle to the jungles of South America and sandbanks of the Middle East the 2000TD has operated
in every environmental extreme.

Commercial applications for the 2000TD have included airport crash rescue, search and rescue, oil crew boats,
passenger ferries (tourist and commuter), medical clinics, dredging support, civil engineering support and
exploration.

In the military/paramilitary market this size of hovercraft has been utilised in many roles, from amphibious assaults
and fast attack to coast guard duties and MEDIVAC. The 2000TD has seen service with the British Royal Marines,
the Swedish Coast Guard, Finnish Frontier Guard, Belgian Army, the Estonian Border Guard and Lithuanian Border
Police. The Peruvian and Colombian Navies both use the craft in demanding operational roles, while the Société des
Traversiers du Québec (STQ) provide a year round community transport service to a remote population in Canada.
Crowley Marine and Dr John K. Hall (Geological Survey of Israel) and Prof. Yngve Kristoffersen both use the craft in
extremely demanding Arctic transport roles.

Overview
The Griffon 8000TD is a well proven design and is the most popular medium lift hovercraft. The 8000TD, and its
military version, the 8000TD(M), is powered by two water-cooled diesel engines. With its two 596kW (800hp)
engines, it is far more powerful and seems to be the preferred choice for military operators.

 Capable of speeds in excess of 50 knots (58 mph or 93 kph) This craft cruises at a speed of 40+ knots with
a full payload in zero wind, zero wave ('0/0') conditions.
 Depending upon configuration, the 8000TD carries a 8 -10 tonnes payload.
 In its commercial role, this high speed amphibious craft can carry 50-65 passengers in airline-type seats,
plus their luggage.
 The 8000TD can also be equipped with a bow ramp and carry small conventional or tracked vehicles, or a
combination of people and cargo/freight.
 It can also be used in an aircraft crash rescue role and can be equipped with fire fighting and medical aid
capabilities.
The Indian Coast Guard protect and patrol their most vulnerable and complex coastlines with a fleet of 18 craft.

Overview
Capable of travelling at high speeds over a variety of surfaces, the 8100TD is favoured by military, paramilitary and
naval forces as a logistic or amphibious operational support craft, and can also be configured for passenger ferry
services.

 At 22.5m by 11m the Griffon 8100TD is a fully amphibious hovercraft capable of carrying up to a maximum
of 70 passengers plus two crew.
 This craft can accommodate a light armoured vehicle or a 20 foot ISO container as part of its 12 tonne
payload.
 Its unique design permits many possible superstructure options with the same standard hull and machinery
installation.
 The craft is powered by two water-cooled 630kW (840hp) Iveco diesel engines and has a hull constructed of
marine grade aluminium.
 The craft has demountable side decks, of aluminium alloy construction, which enables it to be reduced in
width for transportation by sea if required. Normally the craft is transported fully assembled. The side decks
provide a working deck surface along both sides of the hull.
 The skirt loop is made from neoprene on nylon fabric and the segments are made from natural rubber
coated nylon fabric. All the skirt components are accessible and changeable from outside, on land, without having
to jack the craft.
The 8100TD was initially designed for the Swedish Amphibious Brigade, who rely on the craft to deliver a unique
year round capability, including accessing ice bound regions beyond the reach of their conventional amphibious
assets.

Overview
The 12000TD is a ground-breaking new model bringing together the combined experience and heritage from Griffon
Hoverwork, to deliver the most technically advanced and modern hovercraft available today. Maintaining the
renowned robustness of the Hoverwork legacy, mixed with the light-weight approach of Griffon hovercraft, the
12000TD introduces the newest technology and production quality improvements.

 Designed and built in a modular method, delivering the commercial benefits of a standardised platform.
 A highly configurable internal main cabin layout and wheelhouse arrangement, to meet any operational
need. Can be fitted in a passenger or logistics configuration.
 In the standard Passenger variant the wheelhouse is centrally mounted above the main cabin to provide
excellent all around visibility for the pilot.
 Two over the bow loading ramps are fitted for easy self-loading of passengers and light cargo.
 The skirt uses the latest development of a bag and finger type, manufactured from materials proven during
thousands of operating hours in the harshest environments.
 Highly developed integrated lift and thrust systems, driven by the reliability and economy of two MAN D2862
diesel engines.
Equipped with a hybrid drive system, and by using two engines instead of four and larger propellers the hovercraft
delivers the advantages of low running and maintenance costs, as well as exceptionally low noise. These production
improvements on the 12000TD mean the noise levels are significantly reduced when compared with craft of a similar
size, the average reading taken in the public space was 74dB, equivalent to that of office noise.

Designed and built to comply with Lloyds Register Special Service Craft Rules with a notation set of; 100A1 SSC
Passenger (A) ACV HSC LDC G2 MCH and is also compliant with UK MCA High Speed Craft Regulations based on
the applicable sections of the IMO High Speed Craft Code 2000.

Overview
The BHT series craft are highly versatile air cushioned vehicles (ACV) able to work in a wide variety of operational
roles. Designed to handle a high level of usage on daily scheduled operations, the British Hovercraft Technology
(BHT) range of craft is available as a full well deck variant and a half well deck variant, meaning it can
carry passengers and cargo with a combined weight of up to 22.5 tonnes.

 The structural design is highly robust with an aluminium transverse rib construction similar to that used in
aircraft wings.
 Side decks are fixed and can be fitted with added cargo carrying pods.
 In the well decked configuration, access is via a bow ramp for wheeled vehicles and other freight.
 Comfortably able to operate in sea state 4 and with significant wave heights of up to 2 metres, the BHT can
also operate in inshore waters.
 The craft are powered by 4 diesel engines, 2 providing lift and 2 providing thrust, offering both high levels of
power and some redundancy in the event of an emergency. They are fitted with bow thrusters to provide control in
yaw, which is considered highly beneficial when manoeuvring a large craft in tight spaces.
 Optional equipment can be fitted to the BHT hovercraft, for an additonal cost, please ask for further details.
Environmental considerations have been a major factor in the design of the BHT series, with particular reference to
noise and disturbance of the surface over which the craft may operate. The use of large diameter, slow speed
propellers ensure low noise levels, whilst low cushion pressure allows the craft to operate over low load bearing
surfaces, such as mud flats, marshland and sandy beaches without causing permanent damage to the surface.

The Canadian Coast Guard have relied on an earlier generation design of this craft for patrol, search and rescue,
buoyage management and coastal/inland ice breaking duties for over 40 years. Hovertravel is the longest running
hover passenger ferry service in Europe, operating between Ryde, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth, delivering a high
speed connection in less than half the time of any competing fast ferry service.
