Class I have here a video and I want you to


watch this and observe.

Now, what have you observe? What is the video


all about? Dancing
In connection with this Regine Tolentino a
dancer and celebrity gives some insights about
dancing. Who wants to read?
Dancing strengthens our immune system. I have
always loved dancing. In dancing, I can express my
emotions. My greatest passion is dancing.

We call that word a gerund. A gerund is a verb form
used as a noun. Gerund serves four functions

1. Subject-the one being talked about and it is


either a noun or pronoun. Dance
2. Direct object- someone or something which Verb
receives the action. It answer the question

3. Object of preposition- there is a preposition
before the noun
4. Predicate nominative- it is a noun that
follows a linking verb.
The given four sentences show the different

function as predicate nominative.
