2. Execute the different skills in playing basketball
3. Strengthen student’s appreciation for physical activity.

c. Materials: TV, netbook, ball, whistle, visual aids

-Basketball was invented in December of what year? 1891
-Who is the father of the game basketball? James Naismith
-What are the basic skills in basketball? Shooting, dribbling, passing,
rebounding, running

B. Motivation
“Video Presentation”
I want you to watch and observe carefully the video that I am going to
play. Tell to the class what have you observed and feel from the video.

D. Lesson Proper
Discussion: Demonstrate basic skills in basketball
1. Shooting 2. Dribbling
3. Passing 4. Rebounding

IV. APPLICATION
Let the students execute the 5 basic skills in playing basketball. Their
performance will be graded based on this criteria or rubrics.

Performed the task properly 5
Performed the task with a little error 4
Performed the task with many errors 3
Not able to perform the task 2
Do not attempt to perform the task 1

IV. EVALUATION
Let the students play 3v3 basketball with other groups. Perform the different
basic skills in playing basket.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Read about hand signals in officiating basketball next meeting.

Each group will assign a representative and will be given a golf ball. The
goal is to shoot the ball in a cup at the signal and who ever shoots the ball first will
get the chance to answer the review question.

reaction or comment about the lessons about China, Japan and Korea before
piecing them together at the board.

V. ASSIGNMENT
On a piece of bond paper, make and design your own mask. Create and color
your work and pass it tomorrow.
