VARIO-DELINEATOR CAP
for marking of curves with a tight radius and on dangerous tracks

The VARIO-Delineator cap serves the signalization (marking) in a variety
of applications. Primary developed for marking of curves with a tight
radius and on dangerous motorcycle tracks, the VARIO-Delineator cap
also qualifies for flexible and fast marking of further danger zones or
temporary road works such as mowing, traces of oil, etc. The VARIO-
Delineator cap is characterized by little weight, fast and varia-
ble mounting on delineators as well by high visibility. Due to its
special design the VARIO-Delineator cap can be easily clipped
on in just a few seconds and in different delay angels and
rotation-locked. While developing, on the initiative and in close coop-
eration with the Department for Transport and Infrastructure of Baden-
Wurttemberg, the main focus was little weight and rounded edges, to
ensure no further danger for the road users in cases of an accident.

Grass stop plates are synonymous for economic and environmentally con-
scious working, as they prevent the framed objects from plant growth. In
addition the cost-intensive and time-intensive extra-mowing by hand is being
reduced and the use of herbicides is being limited.

Road Equipment
Impact cushions made by Beilharz make an important contribution to
increase the safety on roads and the protection of all road users. The
impact cushion serves as absorbing, passive protective device. Being
mounted at the vehicle restraint system, it prevents primarily motorcyclists
within an accident.

 „THE GENERAL“ – WILD ANI-
MAL WARNING REFLECTOR

„The General“- wild animal warning reflector made by Beilharz is a real all-rounder, because he
combines the advantages of all available systems on market. The semi-circle profile guarantees
a circulating reflection and the used plastic reflector assures that the car light is getting reflected
parallel to the road. Thereby an optical warning fence is build which prevents wild animals to
cross the road.

Your benefits at a glance

• Colour: by the combination of the blue-transparent or transparent
body material with rear aluminizing the colours light-blue and
silver-white are generated. These colourings guarantee a maximum
of light reflection and an ideal optical cognition by the animals.
• Horizontal reflection: with a horizontal radiation angle of 120° the
area behind the delineator is being lighted completely, causing a
high level of barrier for wild animal.
• Vertical reflection: in the reflector integrated fins create light flashes
and compensate slopes and falls from -20° up to +20° in the rear
side area. Furthermore the slightly corrugated middle lens assures
continuous, homogenous light on ground level.
• Form: the flattened form of the wild animal reflector with a smooth
surface assures best possible self-cleaning effects and stability
while the wild animal reflector is light weighted.

Stationing and classification signs serve the determination of location in traffic and therefore de-
liver important information for paramedics and police forces as well as for the road maintenance
staff. Due to our newly developed concept of engraved stationing plates we reach a maximum
of safety and reliability.

Base plate Your benefits at a glance

As base plate for our stationing plate we use
a 2 layer PVC plate with a thin top layer. The
base plate has a thickness of about 2.3 mm,
is UV-stable, weather-resistant as well as im-
pact-resistant and therefore suitable for outdoor
use without any restrictions. We supply the
plate as a standard with white top layer, for
a stronger signaling effect other cover colours
are available.
Labeling method
We provide the plates customized. For this
purpose simply forward your data via our pro-
vided digital template to us and we label the
plates. The labeling is done by using CNC mill-
ing technology, which ensures a uniform type
face. Optionally your plates can be graved by
yourself on a small table engraving machine.

The multipart stationing plate for delineators
and buildings are another alternative for the
identification of highways, state roads and
county roads. The use of identification plates on
constructions such as bridges is also possible.
The Plug-in stationing plates are available in
different dimensions and versions.
Advantages

The stationing plates for mounting on the delin-
eators are equipped with the specifically de-
veloped self-assurance of the number and letter
fields. Just plug-in the fields and you’re done.
The information sits immovable and is perfectly
protected against vandalism. As a standard all
fields are being delivered in traffic white (RAL
9010) with traffic black (RAL 9017) scripting.

TRAPEZOID HONEYCOMB PAVERS

For the straight course of the road and curved areas

The trapezoid honeycomb pavers have been
developed by Beilharz especially for road
pavement. Based on its special form the honey-
comb pavers can be used on straight roads as
well as in curved areas. The use of curve radius
elements is not necessary within our solution.
The slot and key system ensures a form-locking
connection in any position.
For providing the maximum passive road se-
curity for all road users the honeycomb pavers
are equipped with acoustic pass over nubs.
Additionally the trapezoid honeycomb pavers
dispose boreholes for a possible longitudinal
fixing.

 ANTI-GLARE SCREEN AND
CURVE MARKING SYSTEMS
Beilharz Anti-glare screen systems protect the
car driver extensively against glare emanat-
ing from light sources and therefore make a
significant contribution to the safety of the car
driver. The particular criteria for using Anti-glare
screen systems are frequent accidents during
darkness, heavy traffic at night and unfavora-
ble topographical conditions where separate
directions are indicated by central strips on the
road. Our anti-glare screen systems are also
used increasingly on ICE high-speed railway
tracks running parallel to each other, where the
Beilharz Anti-glare screen systems have been
optimally proven.

Quality
Anti-glare screen systems made by Beilharz are
tested and certified according to EN 12676.
In addition the wind channel test has been suc-
cessfully carried out at a wind speed of 160
km/h (44,44m/s). Both within the UV-test
according to EN 12676 and an additional
colour fastness test our anti-glare screens had
outstanding results.
In the CEN – Comité Européen de Normalisa-
tion in Paris – as an active member and official
representative of German industry we are sig-
nificantly involved in the European safety stand-
ards. Our international expertise in the area of
traffic safety gains recognition for example by
the launch of the anti-glare screen systems in
the USA.
Performance in case of an impact/crash
Anti-glare screen systems act passive in general,
according to the guard-rail substructure.
The systems don’t have any sharp edges in the
impact area that might lead to damages or
injuries. The fastening of the systems is such
designed that by any impact of a vehicle no
vane parts will be ejected.
Climbing through in case of an accident
The anti-glare screen system can be climbed
through easily at any point by rescue teams
with stretchers.
Deformation resistance/flexibility
The vanes are inherently stable and flexible at
the same time. In case of forces up to 90°, the
vanes bounce back immediately into their
initial position, because they are pre-stressed in
the clamping area.

Beilharz Anti-glare screen systems are usually
delivered in pre-assembled 4m clusters. For
long transport distances, e.g. abroad, we
deliver our systems partly pre-assembled. In
this case the vanes and vane holding devices
are already firmly connected and aligned verti-
cally. Finally, on construction site these units
must be clamped only with a screw onto the
square tube.

 Curve marking system
In order to point road users reliably and early to dangerous curves
and tracks, we offer a passive marking system based on our audited
anti-glare screen systems.

For this purpose the anti-glare vanes are produced in white and
equipped with a direction-pointing reflection foil. By the use of the mark-
ing system the road user is pointed specifically and in a large-scale to
the risk situation as well he is guided safely through the traffic.

• Plastic vanes: the plastic vanes are
made of highly molecular low-pressure
polyethylene (PE-HD-HM) and are
manufactured as an oval-shaped hollow
body which is closed at the top. The
vanes are green, dyed throughout
(special colours available) with an
absolutely smooth surface. The plastic
vanes are fixed onto the vane holding
device with four screws. These vanes are
spread out at the bottom. This prevents
from sickle-shaped distortion of the vanes
when sunlight only affects one side of the
vane.
• Vane Intervals: the intervals between all
vanes with a fixed angle can be adjusted
at any time. For example, the vane
interval in curves can be shortened and
extended on straight road sections.
• Screws and washers: all connecting
components are hot-galvanized and can
be supplied in V 2 A or V 4 A design
upon request.
• Special Designs: Individual heights of the
vanes from 300 up to 1,200mm can be
supplied at any time. If an order is placed
for an anti-glare screen system higher than
1,200mm, then several square tubes can
be mounted with the vanes arranged over
each other towards top and bottom.
• Rotatable designs (up to an angle of
180°) are available. Movable vane
holding devices with inclined vanes can
also be supplied in any desired angle.

Mounting
Mounting the amphibian guidance wall, each
single plate is overlapping about 80mm at the
joints. The fixation of the guidance walls with
each other and to the steel or plastic posts (if
mounted on open field) is carried out by using
cable ties (standard polypropylene, by request
of V2A steel) or screws. The guidance walls
have small openings through which the cable
ties can be inserted and tightened from the
rear. In addition the individual guidance walls
are equipped with 3 drilling holes at the front
overlapping joint, through which the individual
plates can be screwed together as required.
All guidance walls come standard with hori-
zontal slots for attaching the running surface.
If the running surface is not in use then the
plate must be entrenched 15 cm deeply into
the soil to prevent the amphibians from slipping
through these slots. If it is not possible, due to
the ground condition, to dig the plates 15 cm
deep into the soil, the guidance wall can be
adjusted by using standard tools or project-re-
lated it can be produced without any slots.
The running surface with a width of approx.
350 mm is just hung up into the guidance wall
and fixed with 2 screws. The running surface
overlaps at the joints, too. The running surface
drops under an angle of approx. 4° outwards
and the outer end of the running surface is en-
trenched approx. 50 mm. By the application
of the angle hinge the guidance walls can be
bent in any angle between 20° and 340°.
Therefore only one single additional part is
required for installation. Neither heavy-duty
equipment nor road closures are necessary for
the mounting of the guidance walls. With suit-
able ground conditions up to 400 m of guid-
ance walls can be installed by 2 people per
working day.

The Beilharz amphibian protection fence has
been developed to maintain and strengthen na-
ture’s ecological balance. Its design was kept
simple and restrained on purpose to ensure the
amphibian protection fence does not interfere
with nature and is hardly to notice once it has
been set up. The amphibian protection fence
essentially consists of an absolutely rot-resistant
and environmentally friendly polyethylene syn-
thetic fabric. The amphibian protection fence
is easily and quickly built up in every terrain,
either directly on a mesh or veterinary fence
or on open field with a tensioning rope and

Beilharz snow fences protect life and preserve values

Snow fences made by Beilharz have proven itself at best in all regions up to the Alps and to big
parts of Canada. As a preventative measure it avoids snow drifting across roads, slopes in open
countryside and buildings that are particularly at risk. Its construction, designed to provide stability
and mobility, allows a quick reaction to the unexpected onset of bad weather.

Beilharz snow fences: safety, stability and mobility first
The weave of Beilharz snow fences consists of a UV- and weather-resistant polyethylene fabric.
The mesh geometry ensures an optimal deposition with only a 50 % wind resistance. In connec-
tion with the highly stable supporting construction and the integrated posts a maximum of safety
is attained. On top and at the bottom integrated longitudinal tensioning ropes prevent the snow
fence from sagging. Additional advantages are the rapid installation and removal as well as the
space-saving storage.

Out of plastic or wood

Snow poles and marking bars made by Beilharz make an
important contribution for the safety on snowy roads and
reduced sight by fog or precipitation. The snow pole is pri-
marily being used where the road course cannot be marked
by the delineators due to high snow cover. To ensure a
continous guideline the Beilharz snow poles can be inserted
as a single system directly into the ground or combined with
the delineator.

Quality
Snow poles manufactured by Beilharz are
made of especially developed extremely UV-
and cold-resistant special plastic. The special
characteristic of this snow pole, which is made
in one piece, is the very high deformation re-
sistance with concurrent impact strength. Thus
strains of 50 newton metres for a period of
3 minutes are possible without remaining dis-
tortion. This means the snow pole made out of

special plastic is also way more stable than the Standard length:

Within this variant a special reflex foil is being used, which appears black at daylight. Through

The before mentioned variants are both available without any tip, with a skew tip or with a completely closed cone tip.
All three options are also suited for the admission into a delineator. In addition you can equip the snow pole with a cover
cap to prevent from dirt or impacts.

Delineator with triangular snow pole
The blow-molded, one-piece delineator has already a firmly integrated triangular snow pole
which is made of extremely rugged special plastic. The snow pole is simply being pulled out
when needed and automatically locks in place. By activating the unlock key the snow pole can
be simply and quickly sunk inside the delineator.
Your benefits at a glance:
• Triangular snow pole of equal form like
the delineator: thanks to the equal form
of the snow pole and the delineator the
reflectors of the delineator and the snow
pole both have the same angle. Therefore
a uniform reflection is granted. The
stable form of the triangular snow pole
eliminates an unwanted rotation of the
snow pole.
• Integrated unlock key: by activating the
unlock key the snow pole can be sunk
into the delineator quickly – the unlock
key is very easy to activate even with
work gloves on.

The function at a glance
• To extract the triangular snow pole just
pull it out of the delineator. The snow pole
automatically locks into place and is
therefore both pull-out- and theft-protected.
• The delineator-integrated guiding fixture
for the snow pole is equipped with an
integrated unlock key. The guiding fixture
has a 6-point-alignment as well as several
reinforcing struts for an even higher
stability.
• Internal guiding fixture: The delineator is
being blow molded in one piece and the
guiding fixture of the snow pole is firmly
integrated. There are no further add-on
parts necessary, thus the unaltered visual
appearance of the delineator is granted.
• Integrated pull-out protection: the snow
pole can be pulled out up to the arrester
and therefore can’t be stolen by unauthor-
ised persons without use of force.
