Graduation Speech

Honored guests, fellow graduates, faculty, family, and friends good afternoon!!!

First of all I would like to congratulate all of the students here including myself for finally
graduating. As nervous as I am standing here today, I am also proud to be sharing my experiences of this entire
journey.

Every end has a new beginning. Today might be the last day for some of us as students, but I believe our learning
will actually start from today. I am thankful and grateful that I've been given the opportunity to enhance more my
knowledge, through ALS. I learned how to make processed food and cooking techniques, and most importantly, I
learned how to become a productive mother and a wife.

Everybody knows how to cook but we lack of ideas, knowledge, and techniques on how to use our skills in cooking
to earn extra income. ALS teaches us how to improve our skills and how to start our own business and at the same
time looking after our kids. Now, I am selling and accepting orders like Turmeric Tea, Leche flan and kakanin. I
started to earn my own money and it is a big help to my family.

Sarap sa pakiramdam na kumikita ka sa sariling pamamaraan at iba parin yon may alam pagdating sa pagkain na
kinakain ng ating pamilya. Instead of buying frozen foods, now I can make it for my family and I am very sure that
the food I serve to my family is not just yummy, it is safe, clean and healthy. Now I can say, ALS makes me a
better person and more productive as well.

In never thought staying for good after 9 years of being a domestic helper would lead me here today, in front of all
of you. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all INFED Facilitator for committing their time, for
sharing their knowledge and skill to us, and their patience and understanding. To Mrs. Camerlita Flores our District
ALS Coordinator, maam thank you for your words of encouragement and guidance. To DEPED, who are behind the
ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM, thank you for giving us this opportunity, to achieve our naudlot na dreams
and lastly sa mga asawa namin thank you sa support and understanding. MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA
INYONG LAHAT

Let me end my speech by reading a quote I have read (red) from a businessman.
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road your climbing seems all up hill,
When funds are low and debts are high,
When you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is getting you down a bit,
Rest if you must - but don't you quit.

Once again good afternoon and Congratulations to all of us
