Please find the attached Interim Report for HR Incident Analytics

1. EDA has been done and published on Tableau and link is mentioned under bibliography section
in the report.
2. Project is based on Text Analytics, we tried building two models.

We got below feedback from Program Director on Synopsis. Please find our response for
corresponding questions.

“Message from Program Director:-

1. The incident statistics mentioned on P 5: Are these the full data?
[Comment]: We missed to update data capture duration. It was for 1 Month snapshot. Now we have
updated statistics as per full data. We have captured 3 years data for analysis.
 Total Incidents:56,903
 Closed: 56,277
 Reopened: 1,745
 Reassignment: 27,219

2. Fig 3 – 6: Global data for full 2019 or just Jan – Aug?

[Comment]: We took those graphs from Organization PPT. It has data for Jan’19- Aug’19 only. We have
put a Note below those graphs and clearly mentioned it is bases on data (Jan’19-Aug’19)

3. If that is the extent of data, can prediction be possible for next year (2020?)?
[Comment]: As we have mentioned above, we have 3 Years data approx. 56K records. It is enough for
any kind of analysis.

4. Is reduction in reassignment proportion the only problem you are going to address? That actually is
not an objective broad in scope.
[Comment]: It is not just Reassignment Reduction problem. We are working on below related sub
problem also.
 Manual effort to move incident in right Assignment Group. This also increases Reassignment
Count.
 Increase Incident Resolution in First Contact.

5. Looking through the list of 41 variables, it seems most of them are categorical and the rest are date
variables. Will they be enough to develop a model? You do not have many incidents. Will you not run
into sparse data problem?
[Comment]: As mentioned above, we have 56K records for analysis which is sufficient for NLP. We
already mentioned that we will use Text Analytics in our Synopsis Report in Model Evaluation Section
(Page 10). We discussed this with our Mentor and he is confident that data is enough for Text Analytics.

6. Variables 23 & 24 seem to contain some text description of the incidents raised. Do you plan to do
text analytics and use that information in model building?”
[Comment]: Yes, We will be performing Text Mining through NLP Method and will build our Model.
