MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (PARENT/S)

DISTINCTIVES OF THE SYSTEM

BIBLE–BASED
The Biblical truth that God has a purpose for every person is the foundation of the School of Tomorrow system. Knowledge
and understanding of the Bible is therefore vital in order to discern His purpose. Hence, the Academy’s whole system is
centralized on the Bible. Each academic area is studied from God’s perspective: Math as principles of God’s order; Language
as God’s gift to communicate with Him and with others; Social Studies as God’s sovereignty over all history; and Science as
God’s design in creation.

CHARACTER BUILDING
Since the Academy aims to prepare each student for life in the real world, character-building values are incorporated in each
PACE with the vision of making the students the future Christian leaders. The students are constantly exposed to (60)
character traits of the Lord Jesus Christ defined and explained through Scripture verses, comic strips, and stories at every
level of the curriculum.

Class schedule is Tuesday to Saturday.

INDIVIDUALIZED (Kinder-Grade 10/ For Grade 11-12 Classroom Setting)
Being aware of the uniqueness of every person, Bethany Baptist Academy uses materials that are individualized. Each
incoming student is given a diagnostic (placement) test on major academic subjects and is prescribed curriculum materials
based on the diagnosed levels of academic achievement. Each student therefore, is able to master theories that are challenging
but not overwhelming.

ACCELERATED (Kinder-Grade 10)

Since each student is placed in an individualized curriculum, he/ she is then able to go through the materials at his/ her own
rate. Built-in motivational tools are included in the material which encourage the students to finish a year’s worth of work and
can proceed to the next level.

MASTERY–BASED (Kinder-Grade 10)

The School of Tomorrow materials are designed to help the student master each concept. Each PACE (Packet of Christian
Education) comes with its own procedures and methods intended to help the student retain knowledge. Constant repetition
and review in the PACEs coupled with the low student-staff ratio gives a very high rate of retention. Each PACE is not
deemed finished unless the student has mastered at least eighty percent (80%) of the PACE which can be measured by PACE
tests.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
Parent orientation, meetings and conferences (scheduled every quarter) promote a good understanding
between parents or guardians and the faculty/administration of this school. Every parent (both Father and
Mother) is required to participate in these informative and helpful programs.
The first meeting is held at the opening of the school year. Additional parent meetings are scheduled following
the first, second, and third quarter, and at the Annual Awards Night.
Parents’ conference with the child’s Supervisor are scheduled every quarter or at any time deemed necessary.
Parental conferences for questions or comments are welcome at any time outside of school hours by
appointment. We prefer to reserve school hours for attending to students.

STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

True education is the education of the heart and its very nature must focus on God rather than man. It finds
its essence in the authority and reality of a triune God. It places Jesus Christ at the center of all truths and accepts faith
in Jesus Christ and obedience to the Word of God as prerequisites for personal development and proper nurturing. It
requires personal commitment to Christ and His church and accepts the fact that morality is absolute.

The objective in building a private Christian school is to obey the Scriptural imperatives
of Deuteronomy 6:5-8.
5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6
And these words, which I command thee this day,
shall be in thine heart:
7
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,
and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house,
and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up.
8
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand,
and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

and of Proverbs 22:6

" Train up a child in the way he should go:

and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Teaching is training. Training for life must include training for eternity. A Christian school is an extension of
the Christian home in training young people in a Christian environment for time and eternity. The school staff works
closely with parents to train the whole child.

VISION – MISSION

VISION
1. A Church-school that consistently reflects the heart of education, which is the education of the heart; and wherein the
Word of God is truly upheld and is really the centerpiece of the curriculum.
2. A church-school where God is reverenced, excellence is pursued, and integrity & diligence is observed.

MISSION
1. That BBA shall maintain the rightful dominion of God upon the Christian home, the Church, the school, and the
world.
2. That BBA shall continue to influence the lives of the children with the view and philosophy of the Bible for their
proper mental, intellectual, moral, and spiritual development.
3. That BBA shall endeavour to develop in the succeeding generations of young people who, through quality Christian
education, would be able to fulfil their God-given potential and become Christian leaders that reach the world for Christ.
