Contents
At the beginning, besides hunting, gathering wild fruits and nuts and
fishing, we also planted small gardens for other sources of food, using a
sustainable farming method. First we clear a small area of land and burn
it. Then we plant many types of plants, to be used for food and
medicines.
After a few years, the soil has become too poor to allow for more crops
to grow and weeds start to take over. Then we moved to a nearby
uncleared area. Shifting cultivation is still practiced by us who have
access to a large amount of land. The land becomes a wasteland after a
few years of overuse, and cannot be used for future agriculture.
Our foods
● Vegetables.
● Some insects.
● Bananas.
● Soursop.

Place
Why is the jungle so
important?
Protection
Our people revere the jungle that,
until the present, has protected us
from outsiders and given us
everything we need.
Sustainable Existence
We use the land without doing
harm to the plants and animals. As
a wise indigenous man once said,
"The earth is our historian, our
educator, the provider of food,
medicine, clothing and protection.
She is the mother of our races."
Clothes
How they started making their clothes?
At first our tribe did not have clothes and we were naked, then
realized that we needed clothes to cover ourselves from the cold
and what could harm us, so we began to make clothes with the
skins of the animals we killed, over time began to use fabrics and
cotton to make more advanced clothes.
