Recommendations for nurses to safe injection and patient safety from

medication errors:

1- Mainstreaming a culture among nurses is talking to patients to explain safe injections and how
to ensure they’re receiving safe care during injections
2-Provide and circulate medication error reporting programs
3-Providing an electronic system for writing and reading medicines, and information about it
4-Preparing medications in places designated for medication before giving them to the patient
5-Educate and train nurses about Performing hand hygiene before and after preparing and
administering an injection even if wearing gloves for the procedure
6-Making posters for medicines, and methods for storing and storing them
7-Provide staff with skills to intervene when they see unsafe injection practices through
education
8-Working on developing an intellectual and practical self by participating in periodic lectures
on safe injection
9-Establish an environment that values reporting and investigating unsafe injectionpractices as
part of risk management and quality improvement
10-Work to order high-quality medicines from international companies from the Products
Division
