Preposition- A preposition is a word used to

link nouns, pronouns, or phrases to other words within a


sentence. of, to, for, with, on and at, are prepositions

Modal auxiliary-modal auxiliary is a verb that is used with


another verb to express a mood or tense. Examples of
a modal auxiliary include can, may, must, ought, shall,
should, will and would.
adverb is a word that is used to change, modify or qualify several
types of words including an adjective, a verb, a clause, another adverb, 

Truthfully: She truthfully answered the police officer's questions.

Prepositional phrases-can function as either adjective phrases or


adverb phrases to modify other words in a sentence.
Common prepositional phrase examples include about, after, at,
before, behind, by, during, for, from, in, of, over, past, to, under, up,
and with.

Adjective-

a modifier of a noun to denote a quality of the


thing named, to indicate its quantity or extent, or
to specify a thing as distinct from something
elseThe word red in "the red car" is an adjective.
