MIND-MAPPING EXCErCISE

Now, take each of your experiences and use the following blank mind maps
to break out your experiences into individual tasks.

Remember to start broad and then go deeper and deeper to uncover smaller
tasks for each item.

Instructions for mind-mapping:

1. Start by writing the name of your experience in the CENTER of the blank
mind map.

2. Use the 4 main branches that connect to the center box to write out four
main tasks that immediately come to your mind. What were your primary
roles or responsibilites in this experience?

3. Use the remaining boxes that connect to the 4 main branches to break
down your tasks even further. Write out all the tasks that made up that one
main task.

4. Need more boxes? Feel free to draw in more! This is your personal
mind-map and the goal is to have as many “tasks” as possible to use as a
foundation for figuring out your online skill possibilities later in the course.

5. Have fun with it! If you feel inspired to use colors, draw or add images, we
highly recommend doing so to boost your brainstorming!

MIND MAPPING REVIEW

Excercise: Review each mind map you’ve created and highlight the tasks that
you most enjoyed doing.

Which tasks did you particularly enjoy? List all of them here.

Do you see a common theme between the tasks that you really enjoyed
doing? If so, what seems to be the common theme? What specifically do you
enjoy about these tasks?

Do any of these tasks correlate with the results of your 16 Personalities test? If
so, which ones?
