Battery Upgrade / Installation Instructions For Lithium

Accessing Battery Bay

» On the rear of the cart

unscrew 2 hex screws
using a 4mm hex
wrench (top photo).
» Lift back cover to
expose battery bay
(bottom photo).

Opening Battery Compartment

» Once you have the

battery bay open you
should see 3 wires:
▪ Black Wire (Battery
Negative Post (-))
▪ Red Wire (Battery
Positive Post (+))
▪ Yellow Wire (Battery
Communications to
power supply)

Connecting the Battery Cables

» Place Battery in front of the

battery bay.
» Connect the Negative
(Black) Cable to the
Negative (-) post of the
battery. Install Terminal
bolt.
» Connect the Positive (Red)
Cable to the Positive (+)
post of the battery.***
Install terminal Bolt.
» Cover Terminals With Boot.
***Warning: You will see arcing occur when you complete the battery circuit. This is
typical and do not be alarmed. Place the ring terminal directly on the post and firmly
hold this there until the hex bolt is tightened. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN HEX BOLT ***

Communications Cable Adapter

» Connect the adapter

cable to the left battery
cable via the snap-and-
lock connector (as
shown in the picture).
» The adapter will only fit
one of the cables (male-
female connection) and
the other is not used.

Communications Cable

» Connect Yellow (Keyed)

Battery communications
cable to adapter cable
via the screw-lock
connector. (Refer to
photo).

Exposed Battery bay and Foam insert

» Move wires to
the right hand
side if the
battery bay.
» Fold Foam
Insert so that
the 45º notches
fold together to
form a 90º
bend.

Foam Insertion and battery installation
» Move battery tie
down, and
insert foam as
shown.
» Install battery
(note – battery
will fit snugly,
do not force
battery. If
battery will not
**Lithium slide in, remove

Installing Battery Inside the Cart
» Place battery in
compartment. (Be
Careful not to pull
or snag any wires
on surrounding
compartment,
Refer to Foam
insert
instructions).
» Using Battery
strap, pull to tighten
and secure excess
strapping to
retainer.
