CHAPTER 3
RESULTS
3.1 Fresh Properties of SCC

Nine mixes had been casted and tested in its fresh state to obtain the best
mix which satisfy the SCC requirements, table (3-1) show the nine mixes and
SCC test results.

Table (3-1) Results of nine mixes.

From table (3-1) and after comparing the results of the mixes with the
limits, it’s clear that the best mix which achieves the limits is (mix 5).
The second step was to re-cast the same mix with different replacement
percent of recycled coarse aggregate by weight and compares the results. Table (3-
2) show the results of SCC tests in its fresh state.

Chapter (3) Results

The compressive strength results of different SCC mixes were presented in table
(3-3) and Fig. (3-1), with the increase of RCA % content the compressive strength
decrease by a small percent until 40%, after this percent a large decrease in compressive
strength were recorded when use 60% RCA replacement.

3.2.2 Splitting tensile strength

Results of splitting tensile strength are shown in table (3-4) and Fig. (3-2).
