INTRODUCTION
The project involves 3D modelling of a quartz clock movement.
The model will show various parts of the mechanism, which can be used to understand and simulate
the working of the same.
An actual clock movement is used as a reference for dimensions and the shape.
A motion study of the various gears will be carried out, to understand its working.
As an extension, a clock will be built around the clock movement.

MEASUREMENT OF PARTS
A Vernier caliper is used to measure various dimensions.
For larger measurements, out of range of the VC (155mm), a large scale was used.
To count the number of gear teeth, clear picture of the gear wheel was taken, and a free android application
“ImageCounter”, was used, to get an accurate count.
With the outer diameter (addendum diameter), of gear wheel, and the number of teeth, the rest of the parameters
required for gear teeth construction was calculated.
Bottom up and top down assembly approaches were used as and when required.
