1787 record indicates that he was an invalid at that time. His death record lists him as a military veteran drawing a pension and
living with his second wife in the village of Le Mahois (now Le Mavoy) outside of Fresse at the time of his death.
The family surname is also found spelled AAZE, HAAS, HAAZE and HASSE in various records.

naturels) between 1782 and 1789, all of whom died as infants, the first of whom was named Rodolphe and whose birth record
lists Rodolphe HAAZ as godfather and another whose birth record lists Rodolphe's son Jean Jacques as godfather and
Rodolphe's daughter Anne Marie as godmother.
