Dear Mr. Surname:

Wishing you and the rest of your family safe and well!

I am writing this letter to express my intention to apply for a leave of

absence without pay beginning Date until Date.

It is with great exuberance to inform your good office that I have graduated
from my Juris Doctor degree at the University Name on Date. Evidently, in
preparation for the Bar Examinations, it is imperative for me to undergo a
comprehensive bar review program to refresh the lessons I have acquired during
my four years of stay in law school.

Apparently, I entered this agency last Date, thus, I am not qualified to avail
the study leave program pursuant to paragraph 3 (II) of Section 68 of Civil Service
Commission Memorandum Circular No. 21, series of 2004 amending Civil Service
Commission Memorandum Circular No. 14, series of 1999, which provides that
officials and employees, excluding those in the teaching profession who are covered
by different provisions of law, may apply for a study leave, subject to the following
conditions:

xxxx

The employee must have rendered at least two (2) years of

service with at least very satisfactory performance for the last two
rating periods immediately preceeding the application. (emphasis
supplied)

xxxx

However, after a thorough contemplation, I opted to apply for a leave of

absence without pay. Rest assured that any records or documents that I have in my
disposal will be properly accounted and turned over.

I fervently hope for your favorable consideration. Thank you very much!

Sincerely yours,
