LIFE OF A LAW STUDENT

The Story evolves all around the life of a law student who has waited to study in his dream college
SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY.

The story starts from a small town Agra which is famous for various purposes one of them is The
Magnificent Taj Mahal. On 18th March, 2017 Abhimanyu completed his 12th exams and was very happy as
now it was time for him to get too close to achieve his dreams. First he wanted to fulfil his father’s dream to
be a Chartered Accountant then his second priority was to fulfil his own dream. His father was not duressing
him to do Chartered Accountant but every parent has a dream for his child and they had the same.
Abhimanyu loves his parents a lot so fulfilling their dreams were his first priority. So, he started studying for
Chartered Accountant and got himself registered at ICAI. On June 18, 2017 he had his Foundation and that
was the first professional exam. He knew he would clear it easily because he worked midnight oil. The best
thing about preparing the exam was he has preparing it with his best friend Rachit. So, they both studied
together and resolved the problems they faced in any questions.
It was the day, 18 June’17 and he was very nervous and shivering with fear. The paper had 2 halves. One
was of Economics and Maths and the other was of G.K and legal. He gave the first half and was very scared
by seeing the first half. It was very tough but he never lost hopes and revised for the second half. After
coming from the second half’s examination hall, he was very delightful because that half he was confirmed
he would surely get it clear off.

Since then, he waited for the result he was pretty sure he would easily pass the foundation with flying
colours but then came a twisting point that was the result was totally different of what he expected. He was
astonished; he was not able to believe himself. His best friend who qualified the foundation encouraged him
and believed him that he would surely clear the next time.

So, he started preparing for November Attempt and also started preparing for CLAT and other law exams.
For CLAT and other Law exams he started taking coaching in Career Launcher. After studying for more
than 6 months he started given mocks to test himself. Meanwhile he completed his CA Foundation with
great marks. He was very excited after that and was encouraged to give his law exams. The dates started and
day by day he started giving the exams. His main focus was SLAT and CLAT.

After waiting for a month and so, he was very happy by the results as he finally cleared his SLAT exam.
And was very excited to go to PUNE and NOIDA for his interview and PI-WAT. But his father didn’t want
him to be too far from him and also he did not like the environment of PUNE so, his main focus was to get
the college of NOIDA campus. He went out there and gave interviews and PI-WAT. He extremely felt good
after seeing the campus and his seniors who were very interactive and funny.

He was waiting for the results of CLAT and SLAT. He scored a fine score of 110 in CLAT. But he still got
failure of the college. So then it was the time for his dream’s college campus.
The results were out. His name was not in the first merit list of SLSN. He waited again for the second merit
list again his name was not there. He was broken he didn’t know where his life was going to take him. His
parents could not see his phase of life, so, they admitted him on the safe side to UPES so that he couldn’t
think what going on in his life. It was totally wreckage of him that he was not able to clear an entrance. After
15 days of spending in UPES and making friends and settle out in the new environment. Finally the news
came that he has been selected in the 4 th merit list. Now it was the turning point of his life to choose the
former or latter one. There was struggle at every moment of life. He got the errands done and chosen to start
his new beginning at Symbiosis Law School, Noida.

After few days, his life started in SLSN and it was totally different from UPES. There was too much
discipline in the college. When he came the students were too much stressed about the projects and he also
came to know that he also have to submit the project in few days and also have tutorials in 15 days. He was
too stressed about it that he called up his parents to come over because he did not know what would be going
to happen whether the decision he took was right whether he would be able to cope up with all the students
out here.

His parents encouraged him made him believe that through many days his life had gone through many
struggles and he passed every hurdle in his life that come in. This was also a phase of life and he had the
ability and courage to face each and every hurdle.
Since listening from them he was a bit relaxed he talked to the faculty members about his project they helped
and also helped him in coping up with the studies. The faculty members and Director of the Law School
were very helpful. He started trying to complete his projects and also started preparing for the tutorials. After
days of hard work he was able to submit his projects and also prepared well for his tutorials with the help of
his classmates. Now he was mixed with the environment of the law school and was able to cope up with
projects and studies.

There are many things that can be done in college there are many cells of which he wanted to be a part of
one of which is “ONE CLICK PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB” he was very much interested in Photography .The
best moment of his life was when he got selected in the Society and was the part of the team. This was the
life changing moment for him because after so many sacrifices in his life and lot of hard work he would be
doing what he is interested in.

After tutorials he participated in NASCENT MOOT COURT COMPETITION. As he was late to college so
he does not take any workshop of moots so it was difficult for him to make memorials and argue for the
same. But everything in “life is not to win it is to how you learn from it.”
At last he completed his 1st Semester in the Law School.

Law Student is worthless without Internships so internships play an important in student’s life. He did his
first internship at District Court Agra in 2 months break. He gained a lot of knowledge from the
internship. The experience he got was worth it.

After that he started with the 2nd semester with a lot of enthusiasm. Now he is known to the structure of
projects and exams so it was not too difficult for him to cope up with everyone. On the other hand he is
gaining popularity from his photography work …. So life was going a lot finer than before.

He also became the Photography Head in SYMMUN 2019 which was one of the great moments of his life.

After all studies there was time to enjoy in college fest SYMFIESTA 2019 which was the best. Many seniors
said him it was above the level of SLSN and it was too enjoyable that everyone forget there stress and enjoy
thoroughly.
He ended his 2nd Semester with not too much difficulty.

After this he completed his summer internship in High Court Lucknow which was great he came to learn
about LDA and AVP and their works. It was totally a knowledgeable.

But in both the semester there was a problem in his life .i.e. he did not friends with whom he can Rome
around. Many times he got sad about that but living alone had its own charm.

Presently, he is a 2nd Year learner in his 3rd Semester and has achieved much popularity through his
photography and video skills. He knew that only this can’t take him to achieve his goals he has to focus on
his studies too which are his prime focus right now.

Here I come to the end of the story the life of a law student is not the bed of roses. It is irony that people
think that we read and argue but they don’t know that what all we have to go through to read the bunch of
big books. Many people also have a view that we lie but we lie not to save ourselves but to save a pure
person.

Student Life is also not easy they are too busy in projects, assignments, tutorials, viva, exams that they do
not get time for themselves. Law student is not too different from the rest. He/ she are the same. Of course,
the best way to see what a true day in the life of a college student is like it to be lived not just seeing from
your perspective.
