THE INSTALL
2. Start by removing the brake pedal rubber cover. This is done by pulling it from both
sides and angling the rubber downwards.
3. Using a small flat head screwdriver lift out the plastic cover to the left of the
accelerator pedal.
5. Now comes the difficult bit. At the front of the Accelerator pedal there are 2 cut outs in
the plastic, insert a small flat head screwdriver into both of these as shown below.
6. Once these are in place pus both of them in together and at the same time angle the
pedal forwards and upwards. When you push in the screwdrivers you are releasing 2
clips that hold the pedal down, see the following picture that shows a side profile of
the clips.
7. Now that the pedal has been removed you need to release the cable at the top of the
pedal. To do this push the white clip down as hard as possible until this locks into
place and the connector will then release.
8. Connect the new pedal to the connector and keep pushing the connector down until
the white retaining clip clicks back up into the locked position.
9. Align the bottom the accelerator pedal with the 2 pins sitting in the floor and then
push down hard to lock the pedal into place.
10. Push the pedal backwards so it sits flush with the carpet and in line with the hole for
the bolt.
13. Align the bottom of the brake pedal cover with the bottom of the pedal. There is a
groove in the pedal cover that the metal part of the pedal sits in to. See here:
14. Angle the pedal cover backwards as if it was hinged from the bottom. Push down
hard on the pedal until it is locked into place by the 2 parts of rubber that stick out of
the back of the pedal cover. Note: the pedal cover should feel solid and have no play
in it when pushed.
15. Now that this is in place the job is complete and you can step back and look at a job
well done!
