All the institutes are expected to adhere to the various guidelines issued by the University and the other statutory bodies like AICTE, Council of Architecture etc. in this regard. In the present difficult times of COVID - 19, the institutes have been directed not to deduct or cut the salaries of their employees vide above referred circulars. Most of the institutes have also submitted an undertaking to the University as well as few other statutory bodies stating that no such salary cuts and deductions will be effected for their employees. However, the University has received reports about such deductions being done in few institutes. The University is reviewing this matter seriously. It is highly desirable that the institutes follow all the directions given by the University in terms of proper teacher-student ratio, accreditation from NBA for all the eligible programmes and good research contributions etc. including the payment of proper salaries (as per norms). All these points would be given weightage by the University while extending special benefits to the institutes such as continuation of autonomous status, permanent affiliation, sanction of research grants and other special recognitions. Adherance to the directions given by the University and other statutory bodies also will be considered in all such decisions.
