MY NABI IN JANNAH

FIVE FORMS OF SALAWAAT AND ONE UNIQUE DUA

MENTIONED IN RELIABLE NARRATIONS FOR WHICH
MAGNIFICENT VIRTUES HAVE BEEN PROMISED

Abud Dardaa narrates: Rasulullah said,

“Whoever recites upon me 10 salawaat in the
morning and ten salawaat in the evening, my
intercession will benefit him on the day of
Qiyaamah. (Al-Mu’jamul Kabir of Tabrani)
 SEVENTY ANGELS UNABLE TO
CAPTURE THE REWARD OVER A
PERIOD OF ALMOST THREE YEARS

ُ‫ﻣﺎ ُﻫ َﻮ اَ ْﻫﻠُﻪ‬ ‫ﻤ ًﺪا‬ ‫ﺎ ُﻣ َﺤ‬‫َﺟ َﺰى اﷲُ َﻋﻨ‬

May Allah reward Muhammad , on our behalf,
such a reward that he is deserving of.

Virtue: Seventy angels will tire themselves

for one thousand days (writing down the
reward) (in the book of deeds of the
reciter).

ِ ‫ﺎت واﻟْـﻤﺴﻠِ ِﻤ ْﻴﻦ واﻟْـﻤﺴﻠِﻤ‬
‫ﺎت‬ ِ َ‫واﻟْـﻤ ْﺆِﻣﻨ‬
َ ُ َْ ْ ُ ُ
O Allah, shower Your special mercies upon
Muhammad, Your servant and Your messenger,
and shower Your special mercies upon the
believing (Mu’min) males and females, as well
as the subservient (Muslim) males and females.

Virtue: Whenever a Muslim has no charity

to give, this will earn him the reward of
giving charity.
(Sahih Ibn Hibbaan, Al-Adabul Mufrad of Bukhari –

 GIGANTIC REWARDS TO BE WEIGHED
IN ENORMOUS SCALES ON
THE DAY OF QIYAAMAH

‫اﺟ ِﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﻲ وأَ ْزو‬ ِ‫ﺒ‬‫ﻤ ٍﺪ اﻟﻨ‬ ‫ﻞ َﻋﻠَﻰ ﻣﺤ‬ ‫ﻢ ﺻ‬ ‫ ُﻬ‬‫اَﻟﻠ‬
َ َ َُ َ
‫ﺘِ ِﻪ َوأ َْﻫ ِﻞ ﺑَـ ْﻴﺘِ ِﻪ َﻛ َﻤﺎ‬‫رﻳ‬ ُ‫ﺎت اﻟْ ُـﻤ ْﺆِﻣﻨِْﻴ َﻦ َوذ‬
ِ ‫ﻣ َﻬ‬ُ‫أ‬
‫ﻚ َﺣ ِﻤ ْﻴ ٌﺪ َﻣ ِﺠ ْﻴ ٌﺪ‬ َ ‫ﺖ َﻋﻠَﻰ إِﺑْـ َﺮ ِاﻫ ْﻴ َﻢ إِﻧ‬ َ ‫ْﻴ‬‫ﺻﻠ‬
َ
O Allah, shower Your special mercies upon Nabi
Muhammad, upon his wives-the mothers of the believers,
upon his offspring, and upon his household, as You have
showered Your special mercies upon Ibrahim. Verily You
are the Most Praiseworthy and Most Glorious.

Virtue: Whoever desires that his deeds be

weighed in enormous scales (on the Day of
Qiyaamah), should recite the above salat (durud)
on the Ahlul-Bayt (the household members of
Rasulullah ( ). (Sunan Abi Daud)
Note: It is clear that only enormous deeds would
require enormous scales.
 MY NABI AS MY ARBITRATOR
BEFORE ALLAH ON
THE DAY OF QIYAAMAH

‫و اَﻧْ ِﺰﻟْﻪُ اﻟْ َـﻤ ْﻘ َﻌ َﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ ٍﺪ‬ ‫ﻞ َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻣ َﺤ‬ ‫ﺻ‬ َ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ ُﻬ‬‫اَﻟﻠ‬
‫ب ِﻋ ْﻨ َﺪ َك ﻳَـ ْﻮَم اﻟ ِْﻘﻴَ َﺎﻣ ِﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫اﻟْ ُـﻤ َﻘ‬
O Allah, shower Your special mercies upon
Muhammad and grant him a position of
nearness to You on the Day of Qiyaamah.

Virtue: The intercession of Rasulullah ( )

becomes definite and certain for the reciter.

ِ ‫و َﻋﻠَﻰ‬ ‫ﻤ ٍﺪ‬ ‫آل إِﺑْـﺮ ِاﻫ ْﻴﻢ وﺑَﺎ ِر ْك َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻣ َﺤ‬
‫آل‬ ِ ‫إِﺑْـﺮ ِاﻫ ْﻴﻢ و َﻋﻠَﻰ‬

‫ﻤﺪ َو َﻋﻠَﻰ‬ ‫ﺣ ْﻢ َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻣ َﺤ‬ ‫ﺖ َﻋﻠَﻰ إِﺑْـ َﺮاﻫ ْﻴ َﻢ َوﺗَـ َﺮ‬ َ ‫ﻤ ٍﺪ َﻛ َﻤﺎ ﺑَ َﺎرْﻛ‬ ‫ُﻣ َﺤ‬
‫آل إِﺑْـ َﺮ ِاﻫ ْﻴ َﻢ‬
ِ ‫ﺖ َﻋﻠَﻰ إِﺑْـﺮ ِاﻫ ْﻴﻢ و َﻋﻠَﻰ‬
ََ َ َ ‫ﺣ ْﻤ‬ ‫ﻤ ٍﺪ َﻛ َﻤﺎ ﺗَـ َﺮ‬ ‫آل ُﻣ َﺤ‬
ِ
O Allah, shower Your special mercies upon Muhammad
and the family of Muhammad as You had showered Your
special mercy upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. And
shower blessings on Muhammad and the family of
Muhammad as You had showered blessings upon Ibrahim.
Shower Your general mercies upon Muhammad and the
family of Muhammad as You had showered Your general
mercies upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim.

Virtue: Rasulullah ( ) will bear testimony for

the reciter (testifying to his imaan) on the Day
of Qiyaamah, as well as intercede on his behalf.

MY NABI WILL HOLD ME BY MY HAND
AND ENTER ME INTO JANNAH
‫ﻤ ٍﺪ‬ ‫وﺑِ ُﻤ َﺤ‬ ‫ﺎﻹ ْﺳ َﻼِم ِدﻳْـﻨًﺎ‬ ِ ِ‫ﺖ ﺑ‬
ِْ ِ‫وﺑ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﺎﷲ َرﺑ‬ ِ‫ر‬
ُ ‫ﺿ ْﻴ‬َ
‫ﺎ‬‫وﻧَﺒِﻴ‬ ‫ر ُﺳ ْﻮًﻻ‬
I am pleased with Allah as my Rabb (Sustainer,
Nourisher, Creator, Provider and Nurturer), with Islam
as my Deen (religion and way of life) and with
Muhammad as the Rasul and Nabi (the Messenger
and Apostle of Allah sent to me)
Virtues: 1) Who recites it once (or according to
some narrations thrice) morning and evening,
Allah takes it upon Himself to please that
person on the Day of Qiyaamah.
(Sunan Abi Daud, Sunan Nasa’i, Haakim)
2) Whoever recites this (once) in the morning,
Nabi stands guarantor that he will hold him
by the hand till he enters him into Jannah.
(Al-Mu’jamul Kabir of Tabrani – Hasan Sanad)
N.B. It is mustahab to join ‘Rasul’ and ‘Nabi’
when reciting this dua. (Al-Azkaar pg.82).
Rasulullah said, “Whoever from my
Ummah recites one salat (durud) upon
me with sincerity from his heart, Allah
will bless him with ten special mercies,
elevate his status by ten ranks, record
for him ten good deeds and wipe away
ten sins (from his record of deeds).
(Sunan Nasa’i)

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud narrates:

Rasulullah said, “Verily the closest
people to me on the day of Qiyaamah
will be those who recited the most
amount of salawaat upon me.” (Sunan
Tirmizi)

Note: It is important to note that mere recitation of the above

will not absolve one of the obligatory acts of worship. This will
reap the desired reward only if due priority is given to
fulfilling all compulsory acts and to abstaining from sins.
