will be appearing on the Bandstand in
Greenhill Gardens in 2020. Some

The Bandstand in the Gardens is available
for use by other Groups. If you’d like to use
the Bandstand then please get in touch

NOTICE
The Friends of Greenhill Gardens are not
associated with any other organisation.
We have no connection with The Greenhill
Community Trust CIC Ltd
who have a Lease of part of the Greenhill area.
DID YOU KNOW!
The Gardens have a Floral Clock which is
maintained by the Weymouth Town Council
Gardeners. The Clock was installed in 1936
and made by the Scottish Company, James
Ritchie. There are believed to be only two
others like it of the same design. One is in
Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens and the
other is in Inverness.
The Weymouth Clock’s big hand is 8 feet in
length. The mechanism is housed in the
adjacent shed and the workings can be
clearly seen through the windows.

THANK YOU
A BIG THANK YOU to all Locals and Visitors
who come along to the Gardens and enjoy
the events on the Bandstand.
Also, we much appreciate the support we
get from those who come along to the twice
yearly Quiz Nights we hold at the Preston
Village Hall. They are now so popular that
they are sold out months in advance. The
March one is a Cruise Ship themed Night.
The next one will be the Christmas Quiz in
November. Watch out for details on the
website.
Our Christmas Sing-A-Long last year saw
record numbers coming along to sing a
mixture of traditional Carols and some Fun
Christmas Songs. This year the event is on
Sunday 13 December at 3pm
