INTRODUCTION

The importance of improving environmental quality cannot be overemphasized. Environmental quality is


“a set of properties” in the environment which affects individual’s productivity, health, well-being in an
economy (Wyon, 2004). These qualities include: air quality, water quality and land quality amongst others

Environmental impact assessment Environmental impact assessment is a useful tool for acquiring
information on the links between different policy areas and the impacts of policy measures on different
groups of people. Such assessments are also very important in drawing up a coherent policy for
sustainable development

CURRENT ENVORNMENTAL ISSUES IN NORWAY

The Norway economy has come a long way in improving its environmental quality through the use of
“well-developed environmental regulatory system’’( ). Albeit the advancement in environmental
quality, Norway still faces some environmental issues.

Another environmental issues of concern in is Acid rain resulting from industrial activity.
