A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL LIVELIHOOD (TVL) TRACK


HOME ECONOMICS – FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II

I. OBJECTIVE
After one (1) hour, 80% of the students shall be able to demonstrate understanding to
fold properly and laid cloth napkins on the table appropriately according to napkins
folding style.
II. SUBJECT – MATTER
A. Topic: Ten (10) Different Basic Napkin Folding Styles. (TLE_HEFBS9-12AS-Ie-f-3)

C. Materials: table napkin cloth, video presentation, laptop, LCD projector

IV. PROCEDURE
A. Drill
 Let the students execute on Table Set-Up Procedures.
B. Review
 The teacher recap about the previous lesson on how to prepare table set – up for
American Breakfast, and Russian Lunch and Dinner Table Set – up.
C. Preparation
 The teacher will show a cloth and let the class identify the object. The teacher will
ask the students what is the purpose of the table napkin cloth?
D. Developmental Activity
 A video presentation will show to the class about different styles of table napkin
folding.
E. Enrichment Activity
 While the teacher presenting a demonstration in class, let the students follow on
different steps of folding the cloth table napkin using the common napkin folding
styles.
F. Application
 Return demonstration on different styles of table napkin folding
G. Generalization
 Using the Powerpoint presentation, the teacher will show and discuss the purpose
of table napkin in table set-up and identifies the different table napkin folding
styles.
H. Assessment
 The students will be evaluated according to the criteria below;

Give at least five (5) different table napkin folding fancy styles and give its uses.
Write it on a sheet of paper.
