Technical remarks
Rebar connections must be designed and executed in accordance with proper engineering practice.

The design of reinforcement connections and the calculation of the forces to be transfered must be in accordance with the valid
standard. Concrete cover, corrosion resistance, bar spacings as well as transverse reinforment must be also in accordance with the
valid standard.

Supplementary assessment and assembly instructions are contained in the relevant ETA-approvals/assessments and the general
approvals of the DIBt for post installed rebar connections in concrete by anchorage or lap splice.

The installer of post installed reinforcement connections are responsible for any special requirements regarding the training of the site
staff and the necessary equipment. The respective requirements are mentioned in the relevant approval.
