Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India. The art of
practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual's mind, body and soul. It brings together
physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind; it helps manage stress
and anxiety and keeps you relaxing. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and
body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality. Practicing yoga might seem like just
stretching, but it can do much more for your body from the way you feel, look and move. The
first International Day of Yoga was observed around the world on 21 June 2015.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
This event of ours will let you know the importance of YOGA,on the occasion of sixth edition of
the INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY .Our event theme will now carry to ,”YOGA AT HOME
AND YOGA WITH FAMILY”.
To get the awareness of YOGA among the students ,we the NUTRITION CLUB OF VIT,have
conducted and event called “BREATH IN A NEW LIFE” regarding the INTERNATIONAL
YOGA DAY on june 21,2020.This event is a session based on the importance of YOGA and to
create awareness of yoga among the students which keeps them to be healthy.
