Course
Answer any two Questions. Each question carries 10 marks Marks Level
Outcome
a. Develop a solution for a remote controller that is used for 5 CO3 K2
controlling the door movements with a sensor when exiting from a
public hall. Recommend pins for Microcontroller operations, IO
ports, possible interrupts to be handled along with the remote
signal transmission.
1. b. A 16 Bit Microprocessor is planned to operate for a sequence of 5 CO4 K2
logical operations along with timing sequences for a real time
machine attached with it and also the resulting outputs are being
transmitted to a near by Microprocessor that access both 8 bits and
16 bits. Propose a solution to connect multiple peripheral devices
and communication.
2. a. Design an 8051 based system in your own with 16 K bytes of 5 CO3 K2
program ROM and 16 K bytes of data ROM. Suggest with circuit
diagram and type of interrupts that can be handled with the

b. Describe the control system design of washing machine using PIC 5 CO5 K2
microcontroller. List the design, operation in sequence and
formulate the practical issues in design.
