Indicaciones: La presente tarea será sobre ejercicios de lectura, escritura y vocabulario.
1.Ejercicio de lectura de la página 87 “A global language for business” con la cual desarrollrás
ejercicios de lectura:

Reading
1. Read A global language for business and decide if these statements are true (T) or false (F)
1 People in business don’t always understand cach other……T
2 Simple languages for business are very popular……F (they have so far had only limited appeal)
3 The autor thinks business training should include communication training. ……T

2. In favour: efficient communication, simpler lingua franca than English, limited vocabulary and gramar.
Against: vocabulary is too limited, doesn’t solve communication problems which are not related to vocabulary.

3. 1. A degree of simplifcation is always likely to be helpful


a. A degree of simplification is probably helpful

2. The problems are often caused by factors that are nothing to do with individual words at all
b. The problems are not caused by factors that are individual words.

2.Elabora un glosario con las palabras nuevas de la lectura de la página 87 y escribe un ejemplo
con cada una de ellas:
COOPERATE : help in carrying out something or activity.
They have promised to cooperate in the planning of the exhibition.

BUSINESSPEOPLE: people of medium and high rank who work in businesses.


He told the New York Times that businesspeople are more frightened by trial lawyers that by terrorists.

ARISE: word used to indicate that there was a problema in carrying out an activity.

OVERCOME: having a certain quality to a greater degree than another person or thing with
which it is measured or compared, or performing a certain activity better than this.
Their resolute opposition to new working methods was difficult to overcome.
BROAD: that is wide or extensive, it has enough space for something to pass, fit or move inside.

SHARE: using or having something in common or doing something appropriate.
She’s very possessive about her toys and finds it hard to share.
BEHAVIOUR: way of behaving a person in a certain situation or in general.
He was notorious for his violent and threatening behaviour.
ISSUES: controversial question to be solved or to which an explanation is sought.
I took issue with him over his interpretation of the instructions.

3.Ejercicio de escritura de la página 88 “Writing an essay” estando denominadas las actividades


como:
-Preparing to write (elige un tema)
Governments have a duty to look after people who are sick or unemployed.

-Giving your opinión (usa las frases y expresiones).

Say that governments have a duty to care for people who are sick or unemployed, this is a complex issue,

because although it is true the government has a duty to ensure the health and well-being of those most in

need, this can generate that the majority of unemployed believe that as the government is going to watch

over them and they are going to have everything in health and related issues, these people do not want to

improve themselves and are not encouraged to get a job to support their family, In my opinion, the

government should only support vulnerable and extremely poor people to a certain extent, and it should not

provide everything to citizens because this could lead to the unemployed population perhaps dedicating

themselves to stealing, as they know the government will give them everything.

In conclusion, I am not in favor of the government of everything for the unemployed, but I am in favor of

providing support to people in extreme poverty on health issues.
