Job Title: Purpose of the position:


Parts Controller To oversee materials requirements for the Mobile
Maintenance group.

Reporting relationship:

- Reporting to: Senior Maintenance Planner - Location: AGMI (Aurora Gold Mine Inc.)
- Direct reports: None - Special requirements: None
- Dotted-line relationships: Maintenance Planners /
Maintenance Supervisors
- External: None

Job context
The Parts Controller is responsible for identifying the needed spare parts and other materials, that are
required to maintain the Mobile and Auxiliary equipment at a high level of availability. He/she is the liaison
between Operations, Maintenance and Materials & Logistics. Responsible for anticipating and eliminating
potential delays through planning and coordination, of parts and materials for execution of all critical major
outages (planned and unplanned), alterations and construction work across the site, and off site. Also
support departmental maintenance activities.

The Parts Controller’s responsibilities act as supporting elements, to the existing materials management
processes and procedures, which are currently used across the Aurora mine site. This position will ensure
that materials and spares are properly identified and justified within our inventory catalog. The impact of this
will be improved production and reduced costs, both critical elements for AGMI’s success.

Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications)


Skills: technical, management, organization
 Mechanical Fitter Trade Certification or other technical accreditation from a recognized training
institution.
 Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
 A strong business acumen to develop and maintain a cost-conscious environment.
 Experienced in the use of an ERP.
 Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word).

Experience: level, field, duration


 Minimum of four years’ field experience in heavy industry or manufacturing plants.
 Experienced in the use of forklifts, tele-handlers, pick-up and delivery trucks etc...

Qualifications: education, complementary training (s)


 Certified Tradesman (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation /
 Possesses a current Guyana driver’s license.
