Recorded mostly at their private studio – located in Brian's home – the album may be retrospectively viewed as the second installment in a consecutive series of lo-fi Beach Boys
albums
r Carl began contributing more to the recording process, a trend that continued on subsequent albums. Mike Love also returned as Brian's main songwriting collaborator for the first
time since The Beach Boys Today!

He'd [Brian] have me over and he'd suddenly say: 'I've got this idea, man!' Then he'd point to a jar of wild honey. 'That's it! That's what the album's gonna be called!' And the other
guys were thrilled.
Bruce Johnston recalled: "we wanted to be a band again. The whole [Smile] thing had wiped everyone out, and we wanted to play together again

combo of organ, honky-tonk piano, and electronic bass.[27] The piano was slightly detuned, which Brian said made it "more like a twelve-string guitar, to get a more mellow sound. ... I

1969 20/20
20/20 is the 15th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released February 10, 1969 on Capitol Records (their final studio release with them). The LP was named for
being their 20th overall album release. Much of it consists of outtakes from earlier albums. It reached number 3 on UK record charts and number 68 in the US. Brian Wilson was
absent during most of the album's recording after admitting himself into a psychiatric hospital, requiring brothers Carl and Dennis to retrieve several outtakes he had recorded years
earlier. While Brian does not appear on the front cover, the inner gatefold of the original vinyl release features him alone, behind an eye examination chart.
The singles "Do It Again" and "Bluebirds over the Mountain" preceded the album's release by several months. The former was the band's first attempt at revisiting the surf sound they
had abandoned since All Summer Long, topping UK and Australian charts, and the latter contained the B-side "Never Learn Not to Love", based on a song by Charles Manson. The
other singles were "I Can Hear Music" and a rerecorded version of "Cotton Fields".

1976 they knew it was time to actually cut a new album. Manager Steve Love came up with the idea of a “Brian’s Back” campaign where the
long-absent Beach Boy would produce the disc and join the group on tour for the first time in over a decade. It was the best way to maximize
attention for the project, even though Wilson was 250 pounds and battling severe addiction and mental health issues.

titulado Brian Loves You o Brian's in Love.

for rhythm he’d often use guitars and piano to fulfill the same rhythm function as a high-hat. He’d always have these eighth notes but there’d be these chord clusters. I think he liked
the tack piano because it had that sort of percussive click on it and it sort of fulfills the same function as a high-hat except with all these notes so it makes everything sort of swirl."[
