ON THE-JOB-TRAINING EXPERIENCE AT PERSONIV

INTRODUCTION

On-the-job training is a quick method of training. A method in which student is taught by

an already trained professional. OJT is where a student learns how to do the work through hands-

on experience. OJT generally gives the trainee the opportunity to work in the place and with the

equipment that will be used regularly which can make it an efficient approach to learn new

things. OJT programs are course requirements providing an opportunity to apply skills and ideas

learned in school.

This training program exposed the students to work realities which will prepare them

once they get out of the university or college. OJT can enhance the technical knowledge, skills

and also attitudes of students into work for job performance. OJT can also measure and enhance

the communication skill of a student. OJT program shows the reality of working. OJT may also

teach student how to work well as a team. This may help them also to be prepared once they get
out of their university. This training program is also one way to develop sense of responsibility

of each student upon performing the given task by their supervisors and the rest of the office

staff. After the successful training the student will be able to handle the situation in a given task

and know how to communicate with different people.

Significance of the On-the-Job Training

On-the-job training will benefit every student especially for the college student. This OJT

will help them to gain experience the actual world of work. This will also give students an

opportunity to show their skills and knowledge regarding to their chosen field. This will help

students to increase their productivity and skills. Company will train students in order to give

them some ideas and knowledge and also to enhance their skills to be able for them to be ready

before entering in a real-life work place environment. So that, company will also benefit in this

OJT program, students will contribute some of their experience gained in the company

Objectives of the On-The-Job-Training

a. to gain experience to work in a real-life work place environment;

b. to enhance their knowledge and skills gained in the school in order to become

more responsive to their chosen field;

c. to apply the learning of a student in the training;

d. experience the actual work in the chosen field;

e. to develop communication skills; and

f. enhance student’s confidence.

Time and Place of the On-The-Job-Training

The student rendered the on-the-job training at Personiv Manila located at North

Bridgeway Northgate Cyberzone, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The training started on June 26,

2018 and ended at August 3, 2018. The training has a total of two hundred (200) hours of

training. The period time of the trainee every day is started from 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
