INTRODUCTION
Welcome to this blended training program of Clean Root Pass under the qualification of
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCII. This unit covers the skills, knowledge and attitudes in
accordance with the welding carbon steel plates using SMAW.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this module, you should be able to:
Clean Root Pass in accordance with WPS and/or client specifications.
Visually checked for weld defects and repaired, as required
Perform Weld in visually acceptable in accordance with applicable codes and standards
