Greetings,

As a highly motivated and dedicated student with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, I would like
to apply as an intern for the Federal Board of Revenue.

As a college student, I have taken extensive maths and philosophy courses, which have allowed me to
develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills. As an aspiring economist, I intend to utilize those
skills to better understand economies and craft efficient policies. My involvement in various activities,
including the Kenyon Business and Finance Committee (BFC), has given me a basic framework of
resource management and policy making.

Personal attributes that I believe make me suitable for this position include:

• Motivation: My desire to seek knowledge is derived from my passion for learning. As a full-ride
scholar at Kenyon College, I desire to search for the “whats”, understand the “whys”, and dissect the
“hows”. In essence, I subsist on discovery.
• Diligence: From receiving straight As in highschool; to getting admitted in a Medical College; to
leaving it in exchange of pursuing my dreams in an American Liberal Arts College on a full
scholarship, hard work and will power have been my tools for success; and I shall continue to rely on
them as I proceed.
• Communication Skills: Interacting with patients at research hospitals and networking with Kenyon
alumni has allowed me to develop strong communication skills, which prove vital in research and
learning.

My teachers and educators have commended me for my willingness to participate and my dedication to
helping out where possible. I enjoy working with others and believe that my strong communication skills
will ensure that I can meet the expectations of this role.
