Simscape Multibody™ (formerly

SimMechanics™)
To model multibody systems using blocks
representing bodies, joints, constraints,
force elements and sensors
Simscape Multibody formulates and
solves the equations of motion for the
complete mechanical system
Is possible to import complete CAD
assemblies, including all masses, inertias,
joints, constraints, and 3D geometry
To generated 3D animation lets you
visualize the system dynamics

Task

To model the system

Hip – thigh – knee – leg- ankle – foot

To simulate the system with normal trajectories of swing phase of gait and obtain
torque data for the three joints.

To compare data between two different antropometric percentils.

Research torque data during gait and to compare with simulation results.
