Learned:
I am really rusty when it comes to adding formulas and creating graphs. I did watch a

few YouTube videos and clicked on the explore tab function for help. Adding was simple

enough and the line graph seemed to flow, but the pie graph has me a little stumped (have

grace). One of the great things about technology and education today is that even though tasks

like creating a website or creating a fancy budget sheet seem impossible...it’s not. You are just

a tutorial, expert, program, webinar away from learning a new skill that will advance you to the

next level. Best part about it is that a lot of them are free and people are always happy to share

what they know.

NETS-s Standards:
1 Empowered Learner, 3 Knowledge Construtor, 4 Innovative Designer and 6 Creative

Communicator.

Applications of Skills for future learners:

I can see sheets or excel used in the classroom and workplace for a limitless number of

projects. This is a great tool to teach data collection, statistics and finance. Anytime data is

involved the ways that we chose to communicate and express our ideas are very important.

This tool is very essential and a useful resource for students to be able to use in their research,

reports and group presentations. This skill will also transfer over to the workplace and be a

lifelong skill. For me in particular I always have students create a graph to practice the elements

and steps of creating. Students create a survey and collect tally data from peers on a data table.

It would be great next year to have their final graph piece be digital!
