AFFIDAVIT

I, AIBEL E. UGAY, of legal age, Filipino citizen, with postal address at A. Tumulak Street, Gun-ob,
Lapu-lapu City, after having duly sworn to in accordance with law do hereby depose and say:

1. That I, on the 2nd of September 2019, visited the Cebu City Hall of Justice located at
Qimonda I.T. Center, Don Sergio Osmena St., North Reclamation Area, Cebu City;
2. That I and my group of freshmen law students from the University of San Carlos Law and
Governance photographed the Court Calendar to vouch for our attendance to the said agency;
3. That I and my team met with the professor for the course on Legal Profession, Judge
Francisco A. Seville, Jr. who also agreed on a photo opportunity with us;
4. That I observed two trial hearings, both of which are drug-possession related cases;
5. That I took note of the nature of multi-tasking employed by the judge, in the person of
Judge E.A.A. Singco, who typed the facts relevant to the cases at hand, translated the Sinugbuanon
words of the witnesses into court language, verified the spellings of names pertinent to the cases, all in
the process of adjudicating the cases all the same;
6. That I witnessed the detail-oriented cross examinations of the witnesses by the lawyers
of the plaintiff and defendant, in particular the proximity of said witnesses to the accused who allegedly
were in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia; and
7. That I also observed how lawyers inquired further into the manner of recognizing (from
a distance) the drug paraphernalia and concealment thereof by the accused, ascertained in the
witnesses’ affidavit.

That this affidavit is being executed to attest to the truthfulness and veracity of the foregoing
facts which are based on my personal knowledge and belief.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto affixed my signature this 4 th day of September 2019, in
