Course Synopsis

The course provides students with hands-on experience on the operation, evaluation and
overcoming problems related to basic manufacturing practices such as in advance welding,
CAD/CAM, machining, plastics processing and the use of metrological instruments in this field.
Demonstration and practical on certain manufacturing practices will be carried out.

Course Outcomes

CLO1 Explain relevant machineries, processes, instruments and tools used in manufacturing

CLO2 Analyze the experimental data accordingly as required through technical reports. [PO4,

CLO3 Perform laboratory work correctly through standard operating procedures with appropriate

Teaching Methodology:

Laboratory Work(Week 2- Week 4)


Laboratory practices on instrument/machinery and processes related to the course contents by
the students. Supervisor (instructor) observation and evaluation are carried out during laboratory
sessions.

Laboratory practical and demonstrations video. (Online Distance Learning)


Recorded lab practical on processes and instrumentation related to the course content by the
instructor. Relevant examples of demonstrations videos on of instruments/machinery and
processes also will be provided. Students are required to submit the reports through turnitin.
