The existing system of this stop is a manual system to handle all activities of the shop.
The information related to garments, stock stored manually. Calculation of bills and inventory
are done manually. They have updating manually their product detail, in which they have
maximum chances of errors, manually they have an only limited market in which they have
generating a limited revenue.
Problem statement:
Currently Garment shop is using a manual system to handle all activities of the shop. The
information related to garments, stock stored manually. Calculation of bills and inventory are
done manually. As the current system is a file based one, management of the garment shop has to
put much effort on securing the files. They can be easily damaged by fire, insects and natural
disasters. Also, it could be misplaced by losing data and information. They are facing several
problems including wastage of time and human mistakes. Due to improperly managed details the
manager of the shop faces a lot of difficulties in accessing past data as well as managing various
types of data. Limited storage space of the files is another issue that they currently face when the
management is manually done.
Proposed solution:
The proposed software product is the web-based application of Sony Garment Shop. The
“Garment Shop Management System” has been developed to override the problems prevailing in
the manual system. This software is supported to eliminate and in some cases reduce the
problems faced by the existing system. Moreover this system is designed for the particular need
of the shop to carry out all the activities in effective manner. This application is reduced as much
as possible to avoid errors while entering the data. It also provide error message while entering
the invalid data. We will use distributed database system to store the garment, stock, employees
and sales and purchase details etc. No technical knowledge is needed for the user to use this
system as it is a user-friendly. It can assist the user to concentrate on other activities rather to
concentrate the record keeping. Hence it will help in batter utilization of resources. Our goal is to
make a client satisfied system by full filling the client requirements and improving the current
manual system with client needs and provide the better services for client.
They can also require less labor in fact only one person, which can handle the whole
website quite easily.
Data Consistency
The major benefit of our proposed system is Data consistency. Now, if we change data in
one portion of the system, it can automatically change data in every related portion. We can also
make modifications to the proposed system.
Data Security
In our proposed website, our user has security. Only an authorized person can enter the
administration panel or only authorized customers can log in by his/her unique email.
