 Integrated technology plays an important role for the supply chain operation, because

effective communication and standardized methods within the supply chain involves
integrated technology, and not just that, by the use of Bar Codes or RFID Tags are
considered integrated technology, that enables them to identify goods within the supply
chain by the use only of radio waves, or line-of-sight in the case of Bar Codes. Another thing
which is also important in supply chain operation is the information sharing, trading
partners within the scope of the supply chain should communicate to each other, share
information with each other, and they are able to access any part of the supply chain, for
instance they can connect or access data in real time on inventory levels, also they can
access the status of the shipment in the supply chain, and other the same key information, so
that they will all be aware of what it’s going on within the supply chain. Trust among trading
partners in the most important requirement for the successful supply chain, all partners
within supply chain must feel confident towards each other, by simply thinking that they are
all share the same goals towards the successful supply chain, and they shouldn’t act at the
expense of one another, instead they should move accordingly so that everybody could be
mutually benefited, also the should willing to cooperate to achieve whatever they want.
Event management capability is also a requirements for successful supply chain, this one
refers to the ability to detect and respond for the unplanned events, for example, having
problem because the warehouse are running low of certain item, or experiencing a delayed
in the delivery of goods. Real time information technology is also one thing that needs to
consider, in my own understanding, it’s just like using some programs that could help the
management to manage items within the supply chain, as well as, it also includes sharing of
information within the supply chain. And lastly, purchasing it is really necessary for the
successful supply chain because it helps the management to determine what methods to
enhance how the organizations find the materials or kind of services needed to make a
product or service and deliver or sell it to customers.
