Rule 2: In present perfect tense, you have to use another prefix which is “naka-” at
the beginning then the word now will become “nakakanta”.
Rule 3: in translating the word “sang”, you will add “gitlapi” to the base form of the
verb. It will become “kumanta”.
Rule 4: The “has sung” and “had sung” have the same Tagalog word. You will add the
word “naka-“ at the beginning then it will become “nakakanta”.
Rule 5: The “will sing” and “will be singing” have the same translated word in Tagalog.
You will repeat the first syllable of the base form of the verb which is “kanta”.
The “will have sung” and “will have been singing” have also the same translated
Tagalog word. You will add a prefix “maka-“ then repeat the first syllable of the base
form of the verb “kanta” twice.
REMEMBER: When you used these translated Tagalog verbs in Tagalog; you have
to used adverbs for time indication like “mamaya, kanina, bukas, etc.”.
