Lesson(s) Learnt During The Covid-19 Movement Control Order

Due to the Covid-19, life has drastically changed around the world. The coronavirus
outbreak is not just an epidemic, it is also a global pandemic. People are being asked to stay at
home in order to reduce the risk of infection. In Malaysia, the lockdown or Movement Control
Order (MCO), started on March 18.

Corona has brought a wave of negative outcomes, terrible illness and even death, but
there are valuable lessons to be learnt. Through this epidemic, I’ve learnt the importance of
health and the value of life. Health and life are priceless treasures. We should cherish our lives
and take care of our health. In this epidemic, we could see that many people did not take care of
their life. They did not follow the government's instructions. In the end, the coronavirus spread to
all over the world within a short period. Therefore, one should be willing to sacrifice a little bit
of freedom for the greater good of the public. The very first and most important thing that
everyone can do right now is “stay at home!” Social distancing and avoid mass gatherings are
important steps to take.

Besides, I also learnt that one’s behavior and attitude are very important in decreasing
the spread of the virus. It is important to keep in mind that we must always wear mask when
going out, frequently washing hands with soap for 20 seconds, taking bath after going outside,
and etc. We can prevent the further spread of the virus by doing social distancing and self-
hygiene. Everyone must understand that children like me are not immune. It will be very
dangerous if we are not following the steps and instructions given by our government.

In conclusion, there are still some lessons that we can learn and remember throughout the
hard days of Covid-19. We must always be thankful and grateful because our country had
successfully control the spread of the Covid-19. We hope that Covid-19 is always under control
in Malaysia and all over the world.
