The book is very relatable because the characters are children and the
book is in 1st POV which helps students relate even more.

At this age, Piaget refers to it as Preoperational as children understand


the world through language and mental images. This story emphasizes
on the importance of being who you are. It makes children feel like they
are not alone and there are people who are the same way as them.

Why?

This book is so beautiful. When I read it, it’s like saying affirmations. I love
how unique each character looks and how the book reminds the reader of
how they are courageous and special and it is okay to be who you are.
