OIL LEAKAGE RESOLUTION

Equipment Details:
Genset Model C38D5 Genset S No. H18R144413 Engine Model X3.3-G1 Engine Sr. No: B02092 Engine Hrs: 2392.5

Complain:
As per customer complain genset having oil leakages from lower engine side. (Genset Commissioning Date: February 2, 2019)

Troubleshooting:
Customer launch the complaint on January 6, 2020 @ running hours (2229.0 hours) regarding the oil leakage from the lower side of the
engine. Service team reached to the side and acknowledge the complain it is recommended to replace the following oil seals.
 JOINT – SUMP TO CYLINDER BLOCK FRONT (0509-0507)
 JOINT – SUMP TO CYLINDER BLOCK REAR (0509-0514)
 JOINT – LUBRICATING OIL SUMP TO BLOCK ASSEMBLY (A055M588)

Locally arrange the following parts (GP #; Dated: January 07, 2019) and service team executes the oil seal replacement job on January 12,
2020 @ running hours 2392.0.

 Isolate engine from alternator and radiator. Remove oil sump, replace all the mentioned seals.
 Install back oil sump, reconnect radiator and alternator.
 Fill new oil in the sump and make the genset operational. (Oil provided by customer).

After that start the genset manually and run on load about an hour, no abnormality remains and all the leakages resolved. Supporting
