Article 3 - 5 Ways To Recover Confidence Lost From Setback
Setbacks are never fun. As a matter of fact, just the point of being called “not good enough” can already
hurt big time.
You never know where, when, and how a setbacks are going to hit you. When unexpected, it can be a
big blow to your self-confidence. You don’t know when it will hit you. Sometimes when everything is just
going right and smoothly for some days, weeks, months, even years—kaboom!—there goes your
setback. It may happen in many forms, may it be through very bad feedback from colleagues or
customers, failure in project, and many more.
Setbacks can’t be endured easily. If you are pretty much used to success and smooth flow of things,
setbacks can stun pretty hard. It’s common to have feelings of self-doubt, sadness, and fear. However,
confidence is such an essential trait that you’ve got to get back no matter what for you can get a lot of
benefits with it.
Never let anything stop you from achieving the ultimate goal. Stay focused and keep an eye on what you
want to achieve. So what if setbacks happen? You are truly focused and persevered so nothing is going
to stop you from reaching that goal. Resiliency is a big thing.
Experience is the best teacher. When setbacks happen, look at the silver lining of it. Even though you
fail, you get lessons which will help you be better, stronger, and more dominant than you have been.
Also, when you learn what went wrong, you would never commit the same mistakes that would have
lead you to another setback.
Don’t let setbacks make you call it quits. Think of how you started. When you remember your humble
beginnings, you’d tell yourself, “It’s been a long way.” Doesn’t it make you confident that you’ve made it
that far? Don’t let setbacks take you down.
It’s great to know that you have people who got your back. Having a network of people who encourage
you can be a big lift for your confidence. You can find those people at work, home, church, or anywhere
else.
Act as if that setback never happened. It really helps when you shrug off that not-so-helpful thing that
happened to you. When you act as if nothing bad happened, it would help you have that confidence
back in you.
