Biography

Although born in Wa, Yukiko spent most of her


life closer to Faerun. Her ancestors were once
rumoured to be a fierce and independent type of
Bushi but her family was virtually an eta when
she was born. Her parents were betrayed and
murdered in an underwold power struggle,
leaving her an orphan in the care of her older
cousin. Her fascination with foreigners came at
an early age seeing the ships pass by at Akkaido
as she learned their strange customs and the
legendary land of Faerun. Their different bodily
shapes, complexions and customs were rather
exotic for her. Although reluctant to leave, her
cousin led Yukiko as a stowaway aboard a foreign
ship to escape their persecution while teaching
her the ways of the ninja. Being rather intelligent
and agile, work was easy to come by for those
two. Now her own person Yukiko has little
contact with her cousin and has forged links
within Faerun society. Unaware of the treachery
and memories of the land of Wa rather patchy,
Yukiko feels rather alienated from her homeland.
