Short Go Champs
The Old Mil Ranch Rodeo Scramble was held this past Saturday evening at the Northeast Montana Fairgrounds
attracting cowboys and cowgirls from northeast Montana and beyond. An RCAN (Rural Communities & Agricultural
Neighbors) sanctioned event, the team of (from left) Jesse Bensen (Malta), AJ Crasco (Zortman),Walter Ozark
(Glasgow) and Ted Brown (Malta) took fourth place in the Long Go to qualify for the Short Go (top five teams from
the Long Go) and would win it in a time of 2 Minutes 43 seconds.

“If you can’t respect our national anthem, get the
hell out of the country,” Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach
Mike Ditka (Chicago Bears) said in a video interview
with TMZ Sports. “That’s the way I feel. Of course, I’m
old-fashioned. I’m only going to say what I feel.”
Ditka has voiced opposition to the move since
2017, when he said on Westwood One’s Monday Night
Football pregame show “there has been no oppression
in the last 100 years that I know of.”
Ditka, at age 80, is the chairman of the Extreme
Football League, shortened to X League, a women’s
tackle football league that plans to kick off in April 2021.
He was asked by TMZ Sports if he would allow
kneeling in his league, and he said he would not if it
were up to him.
“I think there’s a way to protest and there’s a way
to don’t protest. You don’t protest against the flag, and
you don’t protest against this country who’s given you an
opportunity to make a living playing a sport you never
thought would happen. So I don’t want to hear all the
crap.”

Covid crud count is now eight
According to the Valley County Health Department,
an eighth case of Covid-19 has been confirmed here in
Valley County, a female in her 70s who is not hospitalized
and is isolating at home. The investigation is ongoing
and contact tracing has begun. Exposure is from an
unknown source. This individual is symptomatic.
This is the third active case in the county with five
previous cases now classified as “recovered.”

Montana… ‘Died of Covid’

Alright. What’s it looking like out there across
Montana? What did you see over the weekend? Were
people wearing masks? Were they not wearing masks?
Did businesses allow people to shop anyway?
Those were some of the questions I threw out on
the radio Monday morning (July 20th). And we got a
ton of great phone calls, emails, and messages. Here’s
one e-mail I got from Becky in Billings:
Hi Aaron, my husband and I were all over the
Flathead and Helena the last few days, the people there
never said a word when we entered a business without a
mask. My husband wore a shield a couple times, however
it was a shield used for grinding metal, that was epic. We
saw a dead deer on the side of the road when we were
nearing Livingston, it had sign next to it that said died of
covid 19, that too was epic!
Becky’s report sounded similar to what I was
hearing from a lot of people. Most of the businesses
they went into without a mask on either didn’t bother
them, or simply allowed them to shop anyway- with or
without a mask.
It’s interesting that even a liberal blogger in the
Flathead Valley noticed that only about half of the
shoppers at a prominent grocery store in Kalispell were
wearing masks.
As we’ve previously reported, members of
Montana’s law enforcement community have made it
very clear: they swore an oath to the US Constitution,
and to Montana’s Constitution- so they cannot and will
not enforce the governor’s mandatory mask directive.
