1. Why is a Modal perfect important?

I think that modal verbs are important because they serve to express
possibility or probability. When used with the infinitive form of the
perfect ("have" + past participle), modal verbs indicate speculation
about things in the past.

So we use modals to show if we believe something is certain,

possible or impossible.

2. The modal verbs are:

may might

must

shall should

will would

3. Examples about Modal perfect

 I never see posts by the engineer Blasco anymore. He must have

died.

 They might have completed the work if their manager hadn’t given
up.

 The engineer didn’t suspend the work. He can't have been listening
to the news.

 The engineers had a lot of work to do and little time. They couldn’t

have finished everything.

 We should have left earlier. Now we are going to be late to the work.

 Would you have liked to go to university if you had been able to afford
it?
