For faculty position, you prepare an academic Curriculum Vitae.

The preference should be given

to teaching and research that relates to the electrical engineering/biomedical engineering field. At
International University, the courses that are also included in electrical engineering curriculum
includes Applied Physics, Basic Electrical Engineering, Basic Mathematics, Circuit Analysis,
Basic Electronics, Signals & Systems, Digital Logic Design, Probability & Statistics, Numerical
Methods, Microprocessor & Interfacing.
Further, the field related courses are Biomedical Signal Processing, Biomedical Instrumentation,
Biomedical Control Systems, Medical Imaging, Biomechanics etc. are taught apart from our
expertise. From your transcript, you have learned about medical electronics that is plus to your
academics. It is important to ask your friends or research on mini-projects that relates to the
above field. By scanning your CV, your publications and experience highlights energy aspect of
your studies. It is necessary that you get to the depth of your projects and get to know what
underlying principles relate to the above mentioned fields. Work on this tonight. Moreover, you
need to follow the academic CV format that you can find in the attachment in a moment.

The projects that I have provided as an example relates to instrumentation, electronics, signals &
systems, Internet of things, sensor networks etc. When you decide the project, research on it,
understand it and make a short summary of it. You can then include the summary to the projects
section of the CV. Also, please think of your role as a researcher with Mr. Kashif Imran and Mr.
Rashid Wazir. What responsibilities you were given and then mention that experience in your
CV. Think of group assignments, discussions, semester’s projects that you have collaborated and
mention it as your interpersonal skills and team work. Also, if you have taught someone even if
its guiding someone in an assignment, quote it down in your CV under research and teaching
experience. Study the Academic Guide and take some ideas from there too. Best of Luck! See
you tomorrow until then…
